Amber Wade is inspired by 1 Peter 4:10 to “use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in various forms.” Using that message and her lifelong love of movies as motivation, she is determined to make entertainment more reflective of society.
Amber says, “Whether through storytelling or community engagement, I have and will continue to choose to take deliberate steps to uplift underrepresented voices, validating their perspectives in ways that affirm their importance.”
For years Amber has worked in the entertainment industry to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. She plans to champion diversity and representation in mainstream media once she completes her MBA in Organizational Behavior at Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
“I will be in a position to influence business decisions across development, financing, marketing and distribution that has a direct impact on the diversity of stories shaping our culture,” Amber says. “As the entertainment industry continues to evolve, so must its leaders. This MBA experience will embolden me to disrupt the industry for good.”
